VOSS Vent Automatic Radiator Air Vents will vent all warm water systems automatically, in particular radiators, convectors, panels etc. where small accumulations of air have to be vented. VOSS Vent Automatic Air Vents will function automatically by hygroscopic fibre discs in the upper part of the valve. These fibre discs automatically close against water. When air has accumulated below the air valve the discs dry and allow air to vent. Voss Vent Automatic Air Vents are made of nickel plated brass. The valve head can be easily changed without draining the system: A ball retention valve in the valve body prevents leakage of water during the changing of the valve head. The hygroscopic fibre discs should be changed from time to time (depending on the dirt in the heating water) in order to guarantee function of the valves. Avoid chemicals in the heating water. Manual venting is possible by unscrewing the valve head slightly so that air is allowed to vent through the lateral venting hole. Install valve horizontally or vertically, never upside down.
